Internet poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous variants on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier announcing "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s amount is akin to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money even with your ante and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
